Backup on the Fantom
Make a USB backup the app can open—and that Restore will list later.
A Fantom backup is a named folder on the USB stick—not a single file. The app opens that whole folder, and Restore later lists sibling folders under ROLAND/FANTOM/BACKUP.
Plug into USB MEMORY
Use the rear port labeled MEMORY (not COMPUTER or EXT DEVICE).

MENU → UTILITY
On the Fantom, open MENU and touch UTILITY.

BACKUP and rename
Touch BACKUP. Use RENAME if you want a meaningful folder name—that name is what you look for in the app.

Leaving both sample options off gives the smallest, fastest backup for set list work. Scene names and set lists are the same either way. Export mirrors whatever was in the backup you opened.
